If I'd had my green smoothie I would have had all my milks and all my veggies for the day - and I would have been over just one point. However, I didn't have my green smoothie so I only had 16 points and one veggie today.

Yeah, I know, I used A LOT of my bonus points - 15.5 of them, to be exact. BUT I was able to participate in Ben's birthday dinner and I *did* get a healthy amount of cheesecake. One tiny slice was 6 points. YIKES! And what's worse is there are two birthdays this week - mine is on Tuesday. It will be interesting to see how I fare with that one.

Did REALLY well on the points, keeping it under 19. I did terrible on the veggies and awful on the milk, soooooo yeah, dang. It's because I didn't have a green smoothie. It was an excessively delicious day, however.

Though I must say, that weight watchers carrot cake SUCKS. I was looking for the nifty carrot cakes that Heather recommended. Unfortunately, I can't find 'em anywhere. =( So I tried the ww carrot cake. BLECH. Dry and nasty. Thank goodness I was drinking a 2 point hot chocolate at the time or I would have gone "GACK".





Tuesday 11th August 2009

The only thing I wrote down for this day was the Green smoothie at 4 points. YIKES!! I wonder why I didn't write anything else down? And I've totally forgotten what I ate. Na ja, I had 21 bonus points left and I *KNOW* I didn't use that many, so we're all good.

Total points: no idea. I average out at about 21/19, so it was somewhere around there.

Did SO well on the veggies - thanks to the green smoothie. I felt like I ate a LOT of food today. I did excessively bad on the milk. I tell ya, if you drink that milk it totally cuts down on the points you can have. A full four points need to be milk based products, which leaves me only FIFTEEN for food. That is NOT a lot. And it's irritating.

Ok, better on the points than yesterday, really good on the milk, but SO not good on the veggies. I really must have a green smoothie every day otherwise I don't get enough veggies.

Yeah, so although I was under points, it was a WAY unhealthy day. No milk whatsoever. Well, except for the 1/2 cup of yoghurt in the smoothie.

I have to say, though, that sonic breakfast toaster sandwich was RIDICULOUSLY good. Holy cow!!! It's the most delicious thing I've tasted in a loooooong while. In fact, I may have to start obsessing about having another one at some point.

Deal with self: If I have 12 points left at the end of this week, I will get a sonic breakfast toaster sandwich.

However!!!! that's unlikely to happen because not only do is it Ben's birthday today, but it's also my birthday in five days. Two birthdays in one week is not conducive to one using very few of one's bonus points.

Might have to actually break down and exercise this week. GAH!

WEIGH IN!
This was my 11th weigh-in, so I've been on weight watchers now for nearly three months.
Starting weight: 165.8lbs
Weight today: 148.8 lbs
Total weight loss: 17lbs!!!

Which means I have lost 10% of my body weight in just under 3 months. =) I'm so happy! I got my 10% key ring. =) I'll need to put before and after pictures up here soon. I like the way Heather measures herself and puts up pictures every week.

Because I am now in the 140s in terms of pounds, my points drop down again - from 20 to 19 points. Gah! That's going to be tough. I will definitely be making use of my 35 bonus points each week. =)

I think it's funny that both the regular and the light laughing cow cheese are one point. Why bother with the light when you can have the yummy tasting regular for the same amount of points?

Converting measurements

I just converted pounds into stones incase my parents check out this blog. This is excessively depressing!!! Because when I married I was 8 stone 3lb - so that's how I think of myself. 8 stone 3 lbs is 115lbs.

When I first started weight watchers I was 165.8lbs - that's nearly 12 stone!!! 11 Stone 11.8lbs.

My gosh!

Now I'm 150lbs. That's 10 Stone 10 lbs.

I thought for a while that 150 lbs was ok. But 10 stone 10 lbs is not ok!!!

Even my tentative goal weight of 130 lbs will put me at over 9 stone (9st 4lb).

This was a depressing exercise and I wish I hadn't done it. Such a long way to go. *sigh*

Measurements

Here are my measurements after being on Weight Watchers for ten weeks. TEN WEEKS! My good gravy! The new measurements are in bold. The weight my change as I'm weighing into WW in 40 minutes.

165.8/154 pounds

154 lbs is 11 stone

WHOOOOT!! I weighed in and I'd lost FOUR pounds!!! Four pounds in one week! How is that possible? I ate pretty much the same as last week and last week I just maintained my weight!

Oh. Duh. I've just figured it out. I was on a period last week. This week I'm not.

So anyway, my weight should read:

165.8/150 pounds

150lbs is 10 stone 10 lbs

I'm 150lbs. Wow. I think the last time I was this weight was...uh...last year when I tried to lose a buncha weight for my sister's wedding. Gained it all back right away though, because I hadn't changed my eating habits, I'd just dieted. Hopefully with Weight Watchers, I'll be able to develop the habits and self-control so that this will be a lifestyle change rather than a diet. Thus far it's not going so well on the life-change thing as I am CRAVING fat, sugar, and combinations thereof. But maybe, over time, I'll get better.

So, I'm glad I was dead on 150lbs because as soon as I dip below that my points drop down to 19 rather than the 20 I have now. I am SO not looking forward to that.

Next week, if I've lost 0.2lbs or more, I'll have hit my 10% mark. That means I'll have lost 10% of my body weight in 11 weeks. =) I'll get the 10% key ring. =) Not that I actually USE keyrings, but it's a milestone nontheless.

Next goal after that will be another 5%, and then another 10%, and then I'll be extremely close to my goal weight. So if I don't hit plateaus or fall off the wagon, and if the weight comes off as it has been doing thus far, I've got about another 3-4 months to go before I start the maintenance phase. It will be interesting to see how long it actually takes to hit my goal weight. Not that I know what my actual goal weight is. Right now I'm just along for the ride, seeing where it takes me.

Waist: 34.5″/31"
Hips: 44″/42"
Upper Arm: 13″/13" (Though I noticed the skin is floppier rather than fuller - ie, the skin's there but the fat's going. =D)
Lower Arm: 8.5″/ I forgot to take this measurement.
Thigh: 25″/24"
Calf: 16″/ I forgot to take this measurement.

I currently wear size 10, 12 or 14. It really depends on where I buy the clothes and how they're cut. I have no idea what actual *size* I am for sure.

I'm allowed 20 points per day, with 35 extra points per week. I generally spread the extra points out over the week.
