Family meal @ Nachos. It was delish.
Filete Veracruzano.

Grilled fish
Tomatoish sauce
Guacamole 
Sour cream
Slice of tomato
Spanish rice

Dinner:
dominos thin crust veggie pizza.  Not worth it.  I am disappoint.

Snack:
Baskin Robbins peanut butter chocolate ice cream.  Worth it. Only disappoint was I got a kids cup instead of a boatload of it.

Breakfast:
Smoothie.  

A reminder of what a smoothie is in case you forgot:
1.5 cups almond/coconut milk
1 banana (frozen)
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
2 Tbsp peanut butter

I quit using PB powder because I was having guilt at the huge package it came in and all the cost of shipping it to me etc.  So I just take my glass jars off to whole foods and grind PB there.  It's expensive though, soooooo who knows how long it will last.  I wish I could use my reusable jars at Kroger but noooooooo.  

Lunch:
2 tortillas
cucumber
lettuce
crab salad

Also I've been drinking hot herbal tea and honey like it's going out of style. It makes me feel a little better for 20 mins or so.  I'd also like to announce that DayQuil isn't half as effective as NyQuil.  It just barely takes the edge off.  Also NyQuil didn't do its job last night so I'm most disappointed.  I thought it was meant to stop aches?  But nooooo, I was flipping back and forth every couple of minutes trying to get my hips and legs to quit aching. 

Anyway, when I went to walgreens to stock up on NyQuil and DayQuil because we'd used it all, I also bought a packet of snack sized Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.  How am I going to lose weight when I keep eating cookie dough and PB cups?  What is wrong with me?  Sugar addiction.  That's what it is.  Also fat addiction.  Also, "Dang I feel rotten and these things taste good" addiction.

Anyway, I've had three of them so far and I'm going to have more.  Don't judge me. 


Dinner:
Vegetable soup
2 slices bread and butter
1 Tbsp frosting, 1 Tbsp PB

Caro 
Toast
Butter
Jam

Lunch:
Sushi with Monica
- 7 pcs nigiri
- small california roll
- miso soup
- salad

Snack:
Cookie dough. Sigh.

Dinner:
Bowl of rice krispies.  I was beginning to feel really quite nasty at this point. Sneezing, runny nose, achy achy legs.  

Tuesday January 21st

Breakfast: Smoothie

Lunch:
Crab salad
Lettuce
2 small tortillas

Dinner:
Spaghetti
Taco meat
lettuce
tomatoes
salsa
ranch dressing
Don't judge, it's just a bunch of leftovers that was in the fridge.  It was pretty good.

Also dinner:
Eggs and a waffle

Also dinner:
Bowl of rice krispies

I'd ridden like 2 1/2 hours and was So. Dang. Hungry.

Lunch: 
2 slices wheat bread
1 egg
3 slices bacon
butter
ketchup

Snack:
Spoonful of frosting.  As one does. 

Dinner:
2 oz spaghetti
1/3 cup spaghetti sauce with ground beef
sprinkle of cheese
1 slice toast with butter and garlic salt

Snack:
2 cups 2% milk
1/4 cup rice flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp chopped pecans

Lunch:
Tuna fish and mayo
cheese
tomato
lettuce
2 slices sourdough bread

Dinner:
3 pancakes
2 eggs
4 slices bacon
maple syrup
butter

And cake.  It's all gone now though. Curses. 

Friday January 17th


Breakfast: Smoothie

Snack: Panera scone and hot chocolate

Lunch: nada

Dinner: 
We went to dinner at my husband's boss' house.  He is Japanese, and fed us the most amazingly delicious stuff.

Spring rolls
sushi
sashimi
marinated bamboo shoots (Ok, those were my favourite. So good)
Radish and carrot salad
chicken hot pot made from scratch, that had been simmering for like 2 days or something.
Curry rice  - that was my favourite along with the bamboo shoots
and a bunch of other stuff. It was so delicious.  

He made the sushi in a unique way.  He pressed rice into a pan and topped it with flaked tuna.  Then he topped that with another layer of rice, and topped that with slices of salmon, then cut it into rectangles.  It was delicious. =)

Came home, ate more cake.

Thursday January 16th

Lunch: Salad sandwich?

Dinner:
Cheesy vegetable soup

I think I made a cake this day, so there was probably some cake and frosting involved as well.

2 oz spaghetti noodles
1/4 cup spaghetti sauce with ground beef
1/2 slice bread with butter and garlic salt
sprinkle grated cheese
8oz club soda

Friday January 10th 2020

Ha!  Well, life kind of got in the way.  I looked back in my diary, and over the past several years the first week of the year has historically been a time of intense change for our family.  I couldn't believe it when I looked back, all the different things that have happened right as the year has changed.  What are the odds, right?  This year was no different.  It's kind of sort of getting back together though. I'm thinking things may possibly perhaps calm down by Monday.  Perhaps.  We shall see.

In any case, I've finally eaten all the Christmas chocolate, so that's gone.
Unfortunately (well...fortunately...it was fun) we had book group and I decided a good thing to make would be spinach dip. It was indeed delicious...but there was a lot left...and I've been eating it.  I ate a whole bunch for lunch today and it was quite the mistake.  Oh well.

Well...more sort of "snack" that dragged on into lunchtime:
3 small tortillas
half a bowl of carrots
Way too much spinach dip
A small slice of pound cake and whipping cream.

Dinner:
1 slice pepperoni pizza

Ok well.  A gain is to be expected over the holidays, eh?  Moving on...

Breakfast:
Smoothie. You know the drill.

Lunch:
Salad with crab salad.
Romaine, tomato, cucumber, olives, pickled beets, a smattering of ranch, crab salad.

Dinner:
Sushi
California roll, 4 pc nigiri

Exercise:
Painting.  All. Stinking. Day.  And I hate the colour.  So much work.  So achy and tired.  And I hate it.
